CrossRoads is finally home at the corner of 41st & California! We are a church who has been on a trek to get here for the last 2 years, 9 months, and 18 days.
It’s an exciting story; one that involves buying 30 acres of land at 41st & California, putting our building on the market and waiting to see God move – and He has! The story is one of a group of people that want to change the way people look at church, not that we don’t think tradition is important, but we want to be who Jesus needs us to be to those who don’t go to church. We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those He places in our path.
Our story continues as we became a “portable” church, had an office that we did day to day operations out of; then on Sunday – We gathered to fellowship and broke bread.
Over the past almost 3 years, God has led us on a journey that we could not have predicted, the construction of our new location took much longer than expected, Covid-19 threw us a curveball and somebody buried a ton of junk on our land years ago that forced us to trust God for enough money to put a unplanned basement in. The building process was unique to say the least. But now we are here.
The story is over 100 years in the making, one that was started in the red light district in Topeka in 1876, relocated to the center of town in the 50's and now we find ourselves by the lake. Come join us as we continue to be a great church that God has taken to new neighborhood.
